In light of this period of uncertainty with the Corona virus (COVID-19), we understand that there may be concerns about interactions with the public.
We have implemented the recommended social distancing measures in the workplace as instructed by the CDC. Furthermore, the following statement is provided from the CDC:
“While this virus seems to have emerged from an animal source, it is now spreading from person-to-person in China. There is no reason to think that any animals including pets in the United
States might be a source of infection with this new coronavirus. To date, CDC has not received any reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19. At this time, there is no evidence that companion animals including pets can spread COVID-19.”
Legacy Animal Hospital is planning on being open to care for your pets during this pandemic. We have implemented increased frequency of sanitizing all surfaces with antiseptic wipes throughout our facility. For our clients, we have restrooms equipped with antiseptic soap. We have instituted guidance to our employees to stay home from work should they become feverish or have any
respiratory symptoms. We are asking our clients if they do not feel well to please reschedule non-urgent procedures or have someone else bring your pets into the hospital.
It is our highest priority to keep pets and owners healthy and free of harm.
If you are concerned about reducing person-to-person contact, we will be offering the following services:
